K Meter Mac

Our free user-friendly software allows you to read meters which are connected to your computer, whether it be a PC (Windows XP+), Mac (MacOS 10.10+), or Linux, and whether the meter is connected directly with one of our EKM Blink USB to RS-485 converters, over a LAN network, or over the internet with the iSerial TCP/IP to Serial Converter or with our cloud based EKM Push system. From this application you can visualize your data on graphs, read all of the meter parameters, set meter numbers (addresses), reset Maximum Demand, have meter usage logged to a file, schedule Email reports, and much more. This is a direct replacement for our legacy EKM Reader software. It features all of the same functionality and more, in a much more stable and easy to use package.

Youlean Loudness Meter helps you find the true perceived loudness of your audio and prepares it for TV or streaming services release. Join the thousands of recording studios that already use it. When you hover over that item you'll see your Mac keyboard battery level (mine shows up as '43%'). To see your Mac mouse battery level, do the same thing: Click the Bluetooth menu, find your mouse on the menu, and hover over that item. My Mac mouse is named 'Al's mouse', and my Mac mouse battery level is currently 51%.

EKM Dash For Linux (32-bit)

We are now offering the Dash software as a free download and we have done away with the need to purchase a registration key.
The software will work with EKM v.2, v.3, v.4, and v.5 smart meters. Meter reads give Total kWh, Reverse kWh and Maximum Demand, plus Instantaneous Current, Voltage, Power, Power Factor, as well as 6 months of monthly records stored on board the meter, including 4 Time-of-Use Rates for 4 Daily Time Periods and 6 Seasons. Omnimeter Pulse v.4 meters return quite a bit of additional data.

The Dash can also display a visual representation of your data. Seen here:

Please Note:pulse count data from water and/or gas meters, provided by the v.4 and v.5 Omnimeters, can only be visually presented when using the EKM Push system.

The EKM Dash can also retrieve v.3, v.4, and v.5 Omnimeter data directly from theEKM Pushsystem. This is very easy to setup. It allows you to take Push data and create .csv files, graphs and spreadsheets, store an unlimited number of reads on your local hard drive, send data to wattvision, create email reports, and more. Information: EKM Dash User Manual

When making settings in a meter using the Dash software, you will be prompted for your meter password. This password is '0' by default.

We also help you to write your own software, by either communicating with the meter directly (harder) or interfacing with the EKM Push system (quite easy). To get started visit our Developer Portal.

For more information about how to set up EKM Dash, we encourage you to visit our online Knowledge Base, which includes a series of tutorials that will help you get started with the software.

K Meter To Miles

About

K-Meter supports mono, stereo and 5.1 surround sound signals. All meters have been thoroughly validated. The average meter reads either RMS levels or ITU BS.1770-1 loudness weighted levels.

K-Meter was featured in an article by NPR Labs. Also, some users have reported that they use K-Meter for teaching, while others use it professionally such as in post-production.

FAQ

K-Meter crashes when the plug-in is loaded/opened

  1. K-Meter comes with a folder called kmeter. This folder must be located in the same folder as the plug-in, so please copy it along and try again!

  2. K-Meter requires a processor which supports the SSE2 instruction set (if you run at Windows 8 and above, it does). On Windows, you might also have to install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017.

License

This is free software and licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPLv3).

Please note, however, that the VST2 SDK is not free. I provide a VST2 plug-in because it is a de facto standard that makes life easier for musicians and engineers who just want to make some great sounding albums.

But if you are a free software advocate, you might not want to use the VST2 plug-in. The pre-built GNU/Linux stand-alone and VST3 plug-ins really are free software in the sense of the Free Software Foundation.
